Medical Microneedling

Collagen Induction therapy or more commonly known as Microneedling is a minimally non invasive, but very effective skin rejuvenation treatment, which stimulates a natural response from the skin to repair itself. It goes back in time to the ancient Chinese who used crude devices but realised the superb benefits of this method of antiaging through needling. 

A hand held pen device, with a cartridge attached containing extremely fine needles, glides over the skin, with the practitioner changing the speed and depth according to the facial area being treated. The needles create tiny punctures in the dermis creating micro ‘channels’ which are so small they close very quickly. However, this is enough to trigger the body to kick start the natural healing process and in doing so more collagen and elastin is produced. These are the building blocks of youthful and healthy skin. The tiny open channels allow up to 80% more product into the skin as opposed to 7-10% with normal topical application.

• The repair and regeneration process can last for up to 6 months after the microneedling treatment.

• During this time fine lines and wrinkles will be reduced, also scars (including acne scars), closed acne lesions, enlarged pores and hyperpigmentation.
